Christmas Santa Shop Tear Down
Every year, we accept donations of new, unwrapped toys for our Santa Shop located at the Center for Women and Children. This special shop allows mothers staying at our shelter to choose gifts for their children that they know their children will love.
During this shift, you'll assist the Center for Women and Children team in dismantling the shop and packing toys away for storage until next year.
Qualifications for this opportunity:
- This volunteer opportunity involves standing for extended periods, bending, and lifting 10-pound boxes.
- Volunteers at The Center for Women & Children must be female or accompanied by a female. Men can not volunteer on their own. If you are a man planning to volunteer on your own, please look for opportunities at the Shelter for Men or the Men's Residential Center.
- Minors are welcome and must be accompanied by a parent or adult while serving.
Groups & Youth
- The minimum age for this volunteer opportunity is 10.
- Individuals under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult and bring a signed parental waiver.
- If your family is volunteering with you, click "Respond as a Team" and follow the directions. This simplifies the process for you.
Entrance + Sign In
- Parking: You may park in the gravel lot or in the gated lot across the street. The code to the gated lot is 2007. If you're coming with friends or family, it's good to carpool.
- Entrance: Enter through the courtyard gate. Ring the doorbell to the left of the front door and let them know you are there to volunteer and how you are serving.
- Sign in + out with the link in your email, the Cause Connect app on your smartphone, or on the sign-in sheet.
