Purchase, assemble, and deliver 120 Sack Meals for our guests at Wheeler Mission - Bloomington! Join your family, friends, neighbors, or colleagues in preparing sack meals. Sack meals should be prepared by individuals or groups in a commercial kitchen exercising proper food handling precautions.
Notes to Consider
- What goes in a sack meal?: Lunches should include a sandwich (PB+J, lunchmeat, etc.), apple or orange, chips or cookies, granola bar, fruit snack or candy, and a drink (water/Gatorade, etc.). We DO have the ability to refrigerate so things like string cheese would be great, too. Please prepare in a brown lunch sack with the date listed on the outside of the bag in Sharpie marker.
- Sack meals must be prepared/assembled in a commercial kitchen.
- Where I bring sack meals?: You can bring them to the Wheeler Mission—Bloomington’s Emergency Shelter Services building located at 201 S. Westplex Ave., Bloomington, IN 47404
- When should I bring sack meals?: You can bring them at 11am or 4pm on the day you signed up.
We are looking for groups willing to do one of these two options:
- Groups to donate, assemble, and deliver sack meals every week
- Groups to donate, assemble, and deliver sack meals once a month
